Radio telescopes are used to collect extremely large sets of data every second, and the storage and archival of such large amounts of data challenges even the most cutting-edge data management practices. Having the ability to access data archives and pool it together with current data sets being received is very important for the success of both near-earth applications and deep space missions.
We are currently researching radio telescope data storage and archival technologies and management practices to advance communication capabilities for near-earth applications to deep space missions.
